A Different Kind of Headline

As mentioned in our last update, I was progressing in the incubation process and in conversations about some opportunities in Florida? Well, if you keep up with me somewhere else you might already have the news, literally.

Incubation progress going great

I have remained committed to the incubation process we started last year, and progress has been excellent. I finished the “Go To Market” module and gained new insights into how to model and present our complex structure.

So far, I’ve managed to push my entire structure through; however -like most good things- the system acts as a funnel, pushing toward simpler and more concrete final products. That has been the primary challenge lately regarding our progress with the incubator.

Since the program allows me to advance at my own pace, it has also left room to pursue other opportunities without putting the work at Arcadia on hold. One of those opportunities has actually been cooking for a while, prior to me hinting at it in the last update.

Now things actually got busy

I was offered the opportunity to recover and rebuild a digital publishing platform that had been “GoDaddy’d” for a while. In exchange, I would take on the roles of CTO and General Editor representing AG—effectively validating (inversely) the work-participation model we discussed in our first whitepaper.

We accepted the challenge and rebuilt the entire website, updating its underlying platform and introducing a fully featured, curated business directory. Since August 2025, I have also been moonlighting as an editor at Orlando Times News.

It was certainly a welcome change in dynamics; publishing and journalism were never entirely foreign territory to me. In fact, they were among the few career paths I had seriously considered.

I learned to read on my own with a newspaper at a very early age, and I have been an avid news follower ever since. So, when the opportunity came along, accepting it felt rather natural. Being able to oversee AG from the outside also helps to reframe it within the global big picture.

More than a side quest

That is the big news since the last update. Naturally, I have not stopped working on Arcadia alongside the incubation process and my duties as Editor. And I wouldn’t have accepted this last role and future participation in the company if it didn’t add something to AG.

Leading a digital media outlet is already proving to be a valuable experience personally ,and we expect it to contribute to our work at Arcadia in several ways. Beyond the immediate playground in technology, operations, and publishing, it also opens up possibilities for future reach, projects, and networking.

We will continue preparing for this year’s events and navigating the changes that come with the next stages of our incubation journey, and all other plates we keep spinning along the way.

More to come.
